Dancehall artiste Ara B has alleged that Shatta Wale stifled his career during their time together and the decision to go solo has opened more opportunities for him.
According to him, he is doing much better with his music since he took the decision to work on his own.
Speaking to Doreen Avio on Joy News, the musician stressed that, his relationship with Shatta Wale is still sour and added jokingly that, they will probably become friends again in the year 2040.
“Music has been treating me very well since I started standing and began to be my own hero. It has aided in bringing the best out of me. If I tell you I was not over-shadowed by Shatta Wale, then that will be a lie. My relationship with Shata’s family is still on the hold. Maybe when we see ourselves in 2040, we will say hi,” he said.
Ara B, who is currently signed to Bull House Entertainment, said his decision to sign to the record label has nothing to do with his feud with former friend and colleague, Shatta Wale.
The artiste, who, in January this year, engaged in a feud with Shatta Wale, explained, Bulldog, CEO of Bullhaus Entertainment is the best person to promote his music career.
“I’m being managed by Bullhaus Entertainment and it reminds me of a lot of things in the past. I want the best and Bulldog is the best. It has nothing to do with Shatta Wale besides I’m concentrating on myself and my career,” he said.
