Multiple award-winning dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale known in real life as Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr., has been signed by arts and entertainment conglomerate, Zylofon Media to its record label, Zylofon Music.
At a press briefing held at the company’s premises at East Legon in Accra on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, the Head of Communications for Zylofon Media, Samuel Atuobi Baah said the label had signed a 3year contract with the ‘Ayoo’ hitmaker.
He debunked rumours about the signing on fee stating that other benefits with the dancehall artist still remain confidential.
Shatta Wale after the unveiling expressed how grateful he was signing on to Zylofon Media though critics have always tagged him as a controversial artiste who can’t be signed by any other label because of his attitude.
“I’m so glad today to sign this contract with Zylofon Media. It is quite sad when I hear people saying for Shatta Wale, he can’t work with anybody. I thank God that I have proven my critics wrong today because I accepted the deal to sign on to Zylofon Music label.” Shatta Wale said.
Shatta Wale joins Stonebwoy, Becca, Joyce Blessings, Obibini and Kumi Guitar who are signed to the label already.
Prior to his signing, the artiste had been spotted hanging out with Chief Executive Officer of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah.

Rumors have it that Zylofon Media will give out an enticing sign-on fee of $1.5million, a house and a car to Shatta Wale.
